Towing an AWD or 4WD vehicle with two wheels on the ground can damage the transfer case or drivetrain. Many owner’s manuals say flatbed only. If yours does, tell us and we will send the right truck the first time.
Flatbeds also suit cars that sit low. We use a tilting deck and ramps to load lowered cars and sports cars without scraping the front lip.
What we handle
- All-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles
- Electric and hybrid vehicles
- Lowered, modified and exotic cars
- Classic and collector cars
- Vehicles with a broken axle, wheel or suspension
Call us when
- Your owner’s manual says the car must not be towed on its wheels
- The car is low enough to scrape on ramps or speed bumps
- A wheel is locked, missing or bent after a collision
Flatbed towing questions
Is a flatbed tow more expensive than a wheel-lift tow?
Sometimes slightly, depending on the job. For AWD, EV and damaged vehicles it is the only safe option, and it is cheaper than a transfer case or a motor repair.
Can a flatbed load a car that will not roll?
Yes. The truck’s winch pulls the vehicle up the deck. We use skates or dollies if a wheel is locked.
